I'm saying that you need to be absolutely certain before you commit your whole season to them, because if they stumble, and even great teams stumble in Week 1, then you're done. You're watching from the sidelines while everyone else is still playing.

What this means for you as a survivor pool player is simple. Don't panic. Don't rush. Study the matchups. Look at the injuries. Think about what teams are ready and what teams are still getting ready. Look at the obvious picks and ask yourself if everyone else is going to pick them too. And when you've done all that work, make your pick with confidence and conviction. That's how you win survivor pools. That's how you stay in the game long enough to have a real shot at the money.
